Research interests: migration and aggregation behaviors of nanominerals; environmental response and fate of nanoparticles; nanoporous structure and nano-confinement effect; mineral/rock-fluid (water) interfacial interaction; experimental simulation of mineral isomorphism and implications for resource/environment; adsorption behavior of mineral surfaces; impact metamorphism of minerals; enrichment/occurrence mechanisms of key metals and their metallurgical processes; shale gas reservoir characteristics and enrichment/preservation mechanisms; structure and properties of clay minerals
