Outstanding Research Achievements

 The Institute of Geochemistry has obtained a great deal of research achievements since its foundation in 1966. Up to the end of 2002, more than 170 monographs and over 6,000 research articles (including conference proceedings) have been published on both the national and the international journals under the name of the Institute of Geochemistry. Some of the research achievements have received 226 prizes at provincial, ministerial and state level, including 49 prizes of the State Natural Sciences Prize, the State Science and Technology Progress Prize, the State Science and Technology Invention Prize (including 5 state-level Special-Rank Awards and First-Rank Awards), 133 prizes awarded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 44 prizes awarded by the provincial and ministerial authorities. The Institute of Geochemistry has been making great contributions to the construction of national economy and national defense, and the development of China’s geosciences.
