The Geochemical Society (GS) and European Association of Geochemistry (EAG) have announced the 2016 Geochemical Fellows. Since 1996, the honorary title Geochemical Fellow has been bestowed to outstanding scientists who have made major contributions to the field of geochemistry.

CAS Academician LIU Congqiang, former Director of IGCAS, is named a Geochemical Fellow for his outstanding contributions to geochemistry of the Earth’s surface. Together with him, the twelve new Geochemical Fellows will receive their honor at the 2016 Goldschmidt Conference in Yokohama, Japan.
