Abstract: Changes of geochemical elementsratio can not onlyindicate climate change and environmental characteristics, but also revealabnormal and abrupt climate events. Based on the analysis of weathering eluvialindexes, eluvialcoefficient and the ratios of CaO/MgO,SiO2/Al2O3 and SiO2/(Al2O3+Fe2O3)ofShubuling section in Yishu River Basin, climate changes during 7470-2550aBP was divided into five stages: (1)7472-6043aBP,the period of climate changinginto warm and wet; (2) 6043-4801aBP, the period of stable warm and wet; (3) 4801-3986aBP,climate changinginto colder and drier; (4)3986-3512aBP; climate being not stable and flexible; and (5)3512-2552aBP, the period of climate unstable fluctuation.

Key words: geochemical element; climate change; Yishu River
