Abstract: In order to research the pollution characteristics and potential risks of pesticide in drinking water source in Guiyang City, China, 15 sampling had been sited in Hongfeng Lake, Baihua Lake and Aha Lake during withered water period. Residues of 9 kinds of organic pesticides were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass (GC/MS). Experimental Results show that many different pesticides were detected higher in Hongfeng Lake than Aha Lake and Baihua Lake. The US EPA health risk assessment model was used to evaluate the health risk of the detected pesticides. Results show that the risk of pesticide pollution on human health ranges from 4.96×10-11/a to 1.22×10-5/a, which is acceptable for drinking water source.
