Abstract: To measure the methane flux produced by city black odor river in Summer with the usage of static box, Chaoyang Creek in Nanning City, China was studied as an important root’of CH4. The average emissions of CH4 of 12.2g/(m2·h) in Summer with little variations at different reaches were accquired. A correlation analysis using partial least square method shows that methane flux has positive correlations with temperature CODCr and sediment organic carbon, at the same time, a negative correlation with DO, and weak correlations with TN, NH4+-N, TP, and pH.
Key words: methane; static box; emissions; black odor river; partial least square method; greenhouse gas
