Abstract: Three hundred and fifty seven samples of PM2.5 in ambient air were continuously collected in Guiyang City from May 2013 to May 2014 using the Wuhan Tianhong Sampler. Meteorological data were simultaneously recorded by HOBO U30, which exhibited that dormant northeast winds occurred in spring, autumn and winter, while south winds and high speed were found in summer. Results show that daily concentrations of PM2.5 ranged from 4.0 μg/m3?to?193 μg/m3 with an average of 70±33 μg/m3. Concentrations of PM2.5 exhibited obviously seasonal variations, winter>autumn>spring>summer. Potential sources of PM2.5 mainly resulted from coal and industrial emissions. Compared with the other cities in China, results for PM2.5 were slightly low.
