Abstract:Taking the Maocun subterranean river as a study site, in combination with field monitoring and lab analysis results, this paper dealt with differences in carbonate rock corrosion rate between allogenic water and karst water. The results showed that carbonate rock corrosion rate is different in allogenic water from that in karst water. In the rainy season, carbonate rock corrosion rate in allogenic water was larger than in karst water supplied by allogenic water, karst water and atmosphere. In the dry season, carbonate rock corrosion rate in allogenic water is larger than that in karst water supplied by allogenic water, atmosphere and karst water. Moreover, the carbonate rock corrosion rate of limestone is larger than that of dolomite. There is an obvious seasonal variation in carbonate rock corrosion rate, which is mainly controlled by calcite saturation index (SIC), pH value and hydrodynamic condition.
