Abstract:  Researched 11 different types of vegetation (artificial pure forrest, artificial mixed forrest, natural pure forrest, natural mixed forrest, open forrest, bamboo forrest, fruit economic forrest, shrubbery forrest, rocky mountain forrest, suitable land for forrest, grassland), in trough valley of Yinjiang , we analyzed their spatial distributions of carbon storage, evaluated the carbon sequestration rates and the carbon storages, and calculated the theoretical carbon sequestration potentials. The results shows that:the spatial distribution of carbon storage rated in descending order is tree layer(25.060 t/hm2)>bush layer(3.512 t/hm2)>herb layer(1.102 t/hm2) ;the average rate of carbon sequestration is 10.632t/(hm2·a)vegetation carbon storage is 172.23×103 t ; theoretical carbon sequestration potential is 94.02 t/hm2.The research results have important significances on evaluating and estimating the forestry carbon sink function, and improving carton storage in trough valley of  Yinjiang.
