Abstract: The typical profile of a Commodity Market was chosen to study the environmental changes of the Yihe River midstream. Based on the analyses of geochemical elements of the Commodity Market profile, this study can gain the environmental significance of geochemical elements. The results showed that the environmental changes involved  five periods: the cool and moist period of 16866-13630 cal a B.P.; the cool and dry period of 13630~10440 cal a B.P. including the Younger Dryas Event; the warm and moist period of 10440~8670 cal a B.P.; the cool and warm fluctuated period of 8670-6420 cal a B.P.; and the warm and dry period of 6420~4698 cal a B.P. , which respond to global changes well.

Key words: Yihe River midstream; Linyi Commodity Market profile; geochemical element; climate change
