Abstract: Over Shijiazhuang City there were collected 51 atmospheric dust fall samples to analyze the sources of heavy metals. The samples mainly contain As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, Zn etc., totaling 8 kinds of heavy metals. Their correlations, enrichment factors and principal components were analyzed. The results showed that Pb and Cr, As, Hg, Ni are of obvious correlation, Cr element is mainly derived from soil particles, As, Zn, Pb, Ni, Cu elements may be superimposed on the impact of industrial pollution, Hg, Cd are serious pollutants, and Pb is mainly derived from coal combustion and transport activities. The spatial distribution of heavy metals in urban areas showed that the concentrations of heavy metals are relatively low, but they are high outside the Second Ring Road, mainly owing to heavy traffic and air pollution.
