Abstract: Green zeolite, diatomite, bentonite and oyster shell were the main raw materials, and three kinds of diameters of zeolite - diatomite (GZD), green zeolite - bentonite (GZB) and green zeolite - oyster shell (GZO) were prepared by roasting in the post-granule muffle furnace. The effects of the ratio of pore-making agent and binder, the ratio of materials, the temperature and time of roasting on the adsorption amount of ammonia nitrogen of sewage and the loss rate of materials were investigated. The adsorption mechanism was investigated by adsorption kinetics, adsorption isotherm, removal rate and loss rate. The simple device was designed and the adsorption effect of three materials and chunks green zeolite raw ore on ammonia nitrogen and the reuse number after adsorption were analyzed by actual river water samples. The best treatment effect of main materials green zeolite and diatomite were characterized by SEM and XRF. Results show that the GZD had best effect in ammonia nitrogen adsorption. The best preparation conditions were as follows: 1.2 g:5 g:9 g:1 g, and roasting at 500 ℃ for 3 h. The adsorption of ammonia nitrogen by GZD conforms to the quasi-second-order kinetics. The Freundlich isotherm is more suitable to describe the data than the Langmuir isotherm. GZD is still effective after 5 times of adsorption and regeneration of river water samples.
