Abstract: There are many kinds of ores and large amounts of P and REE resources in the Zhijin phosphorite-type REE deposit in Guizhou Province. Especially, the siliceous phosphorite-type REE orebody is exposed to the surface with relatively high P and REE grades and could be easily developed. In order to preferably utilize the siliceous phosphorite-type REE ores in the deposit, it is necessary to study the property and REE leaching regularity of the ores. The results show that the REE is mainly hosted and distributed evenly in the collophanite in form of isomorphism substitution. The REE could not be separated from the ores using physical processing methods, but could only be extracted using chemical or metallurgical methods. The REE and P leaching rates of the ores are 94.65% and 98.91%, respectively, under conditions of the grinding fineness of -0.074mm 80%, liquid / solid ratio of 2.3 for 20% hydrochloric, acid excess coefficient of 1.0, stirring intensity of 800 r/min and leaching time of 60 min at room temperature. The isomorphous substituted REE in the collophane was leached out simultaneously with P, indicating the regulation of simultaneously leaching of REE and P. Good technical indexes obtained in this study have laid a certain basis for the further study of the REE extraction.
