Abstract: Research methodology of geochemical lithofacies is to be oriented by technological issues or conundrum, and to be subsidiary directed by applications of theoretic basis. However it is to be steered by integrated knowledge and cross-sectional study while it is to be focused on the core value and innovative technology. The main research methods include geochemical study of rock-ore lithofacies, lithofacies study of mineral geochemistry, innovative techniques and theory for intergrowths of the mineral commodity, combinations of screening classifications of tectonic deformations and precise dating of isotope geochemistry, reconstructions of history of diagenesis mineralization evolution, and geochemical restoration engineering in the damaged ecologically environment system. Based on reviews on research of geochemical lithofacies, preliminary on objective and methodology of geochemical lithofacies was put forward, and their case study and case applications were introduced in this paper. Geochemical lithofacies, their case study, and case applications were presented in this paper. Based on the study of chemical phase and mineral geochemical lithofacies, the multiple coupling relationships between hydrocarbon-rich basin fluid with reductibility and metallogenic system of glutenite-type Cu-Pb-Zn-U deposits in the Western Tarim Basin were better understood, while materials and diagenesis-mineralization for superimposing hydrothermal tourmaline- breccia-type system of iron-oxide copper-gold deposits (IOCG) were revealed. Residual placer tin deposit in Gejiu area of Yunnan Province in China and gibbsite-type bauxite deposits and weathering crust of basalt in BolavenPlateau in Laos were uncovered on the basis of pH and mineral geochemical lithofacies.
