Abstract:In recent years, copper and gold mineralization was discovered in Hongmeiling granitic porphyry and its wall-rock in Taqian-Fuchun metallogenic belt, northeastern Jiangxi Province, is worthy for further prospecting work. Based on detailed field geological investigation, this paper mainly studies on microphysiography and petrogeochemistry of Hongmeiling granitic porphyry. It is suggested that granitic porphyry is showing high silicon, aluminum, sodium and low calcium, which belongs to peraluminous calc-alkaline series. The trace elements are characterized by enrichment in LILE such as Rb, U, Th, and K, whereas depletion in Nb, Ta, Ba, Sr, P, and Ti. The REE patterns are characterized by lower total REE contents and enrichment of LREE, with significantly Eu negative anomalies and similar to Tetrad effect. The age of Hongmeiling granitic porphyry is 162.17±0.81 Ma. At the same time, there was a large-scale granitic magmatism and mineralization event in Southern China, accompanying with a large number of Cu, W and Mo polymetallic deposits in Taqian-Fuchunmetallogenic belt; the main metallogenic age is 161-155 Ma. According to the comparison analysis, Hongmeiling granitic porphyry zone, which forms at the same time and under the similar tectonic setting, has the potential for Cu and W polymetallic ore deposit.
