Abstract:Mineral resources are the basement for mining enterprises. Rational and efficient utilization of mineral resources and sustainable development are important to mining enterprises. Dulongmining area, Yunnan Province, China is famous for its abundant mineral resources with huge potential value. In this mining area, rare and precious metal indium reserves are the first rank and tin reserves ranks the third in China, with zinc reserves ranking the third in Yunnan Province. There have been nearly 60 years of mining history since 1958. This paper systematically collected and analyzed mineral exploration, resource exploitation and utilization history ofDulong mining area, focused on large scale mining since 2000. In recent years, with new exploitation and processing technology, ore mining and dressing recovery rate and the comprehensive utilization rate have been effectively improved, so that the ore mining loss and dilution rate have been reduced significantly. At the present stage, it has been initially realized the efficient utilization of mineral resources in Dulong mining area and prolonged the service life of the mine to ensure sustainable development.
