Abstract: Eastern Laochang is the most important mine in Gejiu ore area. Geological feature, ore-controlling factors, and ore-forming regularity of deposit show that the occurrence of ore deposits was controlled by stratum, structure and magmatite. As the center of laoka granite, the mineralization was distributed along the NE-trend. The ore deposits are equal interval in occurrence, and there is an obvious zoning in both horizontal and vertical directions. The Sn mineralization is dominant in the inner contact zone, while the Cu mineralization is dominant in the external contact zone; the Sn-Cu mineralization is dominant on the top wall rock, while Cu associated with Sn is dominant near Yanshanian conceal granite. Combined with previous researches, it is suggested that there are two metallogenic prospective targets, including southern and northern Mengzimiao faults. The 50,000 ton metal resources reserves of Cu+Sn increased, and it is help to not only prolong the service time of the mine, but also promote the sustainable development of the company.
