Abstract:The Shangxu orogenic gold deposit is located in the middle segment of Bangonghu - Nujiang polymetallic metallogenic belt in Tibet. Ore bodies occur as veins and lens controlled by the NWW fractures, lying in the Middle-Lower Jurassic Mugagangri Group which is mainly composed of metamorphic flysh. In order to investigation the prospecting potential in the surrounding of shangxu gold deposit, This paper analyzed the 1∶50000 geochemiscal data of the stream sediment in the Shangxu-Daze area by the multivariate statistics analysis method. Three representative factors were extracted from the data, and a geochemical subdivision map and a factor score map were drew. Combined with field geological work, the authors hold that Au−As−Sb is the optimum element combination for prospecting prediction. In future work in the surrounding of shangxu gold deposit, the Zuobu area and Daze area should be regarded as the preferred exploration areas. Meanwhile, the area of Qilong area, Luren area, and Remulong area also have good potential in the exploration of the gold deposit .
