Abstract: The previous production process of a copper-pyrite-iron ore in Turkey was mixed flotation of sulphide ore-copper sulphur separation-magnetic separation of magnetite from flotation tailings. New separation technological research is conducted because of the low-grade copper concentrate in the previous production process. Based on researches of process mineralogy, possible factors which may affect the beneficiation indexes were analysed. The study found that the presence of ferromagnetic chalmersite and monoclinic pyrrhotite is the most important factor affecting beneficiation indicators. Separation study determines mixed flotation of sulphide ore, magnetic separation of sulphide ore, copper sulphur separation of magnetic and tailings respectively, and magnetic separation of magnetite from flotation tailings on the basis of fine reagent regime. The new technology can obtain copper, sulfur and iron meeting metallurgical standard, which greatly improves the output value of the ore.
