Desulfurization Gypsum Whisker Effect on the Properties of Cement Stone TEXT SIZE: A A A

AbstractThis paper analyses the stability of gypsum whiskers in alkaline solutions under different conditions, the method for testing the mechanical properties of cement hydration heat, total porosity, section morphology and hydration products and analyzing mechanisms for the toughening of concrete by gypsum whiskers. The results show that gypsum whiskers cannot precipitate hydration reaction in water, but can in alkaline solution. When the whisker content is 2%, Cement Stone has better performance, with the maximum hydration heat can promote hydration of cement; unhydrated whiskers can increase toughness of Cement Stone by crack bridging function, and the cement hydration reaction involving hydrated whiskers can improve the mechanical properties of the system.
