Abstract: Exploration of copper in Nanjia area has been conducted since 1960sbut no epoch-making breakthrough has been made. This paper expounded the issue deeply from on the basis of the background of regional geology, mine geology, and origin the of the copper deposit. The results show that copper ore body was located  in the alteration zone of EW-trending faults in the northwest of  NE-trending GAO Wu faults. There is a close relationship among copper body, monzonitic granite and biotite granite. This study is helpful for future prospecting and exploration in this area.
