Abstract: Paoma lead-zinc deposit is a carbonate-hold epigenetic deposit in Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou area of China. In this deposit, fluorite is the most important gangue minerals and closely associated with lead-zinc mineralization. REE element geochemical characteristics of two different types fluorite and ores were studied. We recognized that ore-forming fluids originated from the formation water were halogen-rich oxidation fluids. The continued evolution of ore-forming fluids formed purple fluorite, colorless fluorite and sulfide in succession, and corresponding ore-forming fluids changed from oxidizing into reducing environment. By heating organic-rich country rock of ore-forming fluids induced TSR reaction and could be a key factor to sulfide mineralization.
