Abstract: The synthesis of 13X zeolite with Fe2O3-rich potassium feldspar powder as the raw material is characterized by XRD, SEM, IR, and chemical analysis. The investigation discovers the inducement period, crystallization process and the average growth speed of 13X zeolite grains. Comparing with the synthesis of 13X zeolite with Fe2O3-poor potassium feldspar powder as the raw material, the infrared structure of the reaction mixture and chemical compositions at the inducement and initial crystalization are closer to 13X zeolite’s, indicating that the reaction mixture easily changes into the zeolite, and the inducement and crystalization time is short. Same as the synthesis of 13X zeolite with Fe2O3-poor potassium feldspar powder as the raw material, the growth of 13X zeolite is mainly in the aluminosilicate gels, in the process of aluminosilicate gels structure being in order while the liquid participates the formation of 13X zeolite.
