Vice Director of Bureau of Science and Technology for Resources and Environment Renguo Feng visited Puding Karst Ecology Synthetic Experiment Station.

The delegation experts arrived in Puding in Oct 20th to visit and investigate Puding Karst Ecology Synthetic Experiment Station. The station was founded in early 80’s and operated jointly by Institute of Geochemistry and Guizhou Science and Technology Department since 2006. Accompanied by Director Ruizhong Hu，Secretary of the Party Committee Shijie Li, Deputy Director Shijie Wang of IGCAS and Vice Director Su Qing of Guizhou Science and Technology Department, the delegation experts first visited exhibition room, Karst rocky desertification economic demonstration zone in Chenjiazhai, hydrology chemistry monitoring stations in Houzhai river basin and Chenqi small catchment, and communicated with staff and researchers of the experiment station. 

After visiting and investigation, Professor Shijie Wang delivered a presentation entitled “report on research and construction of Puding Karst Ecology Synthetic Experiment Station” which focused on the history, achievement, scientific objectives and significance of the station. The presentation was warmly received. The Vice Director Renguo Feng and other experts made a warm and profound discussion and expressed their willingness to support Puding Pudding Karst Ecology Synthetic Experiment Station to join Chinese Ecosystem Research Network, and provide financialsupport for its construction and operatingin 2010.
